Buyers should begin the process of setting up utility accounts in their name about one week prior to closing. If it is a rental home please explore the possibility of a transfer of service otherwise service may be interrupted. Transfers should be made effective for the day of closing. Some utilities may require an application, letter of credit from previous utility companies, or a deposit.

Kitty Hawk Woods Property Water Main Extension Assessment Bills

This Water Assessment Tax Bill is due and payable on February 1, 2008. (2015)

This assessment ($4,566.78) may be made in seven equal annual payments of principal with interest at the rate of 5% per annum. If you elect to make installment payments, the first payment will be due on February 1, 2008 and the remaining payments shall be due on the first day of February each year thereafter until paid in full. There is no penalty or discount for early payment.

Roanoke Island Property Water Assessment Bills

This Water Assessment Tax Bill is due and payable on 06/01/2012. (2020)

This assessment ($1,700) may be made in ten (10) equal annual payments. If you elect to make installment payments, the first payment will be due on 06/01/2012, and the remaining payments will be due on the first day of June each year thereafter until paid in full.

Tap fees if previously unpaid are $2500 for the initial impact fee with additional fees meter installation (about $340) and labor. Fees vary according to the meter size
